We are a Southern Baptist Church which means that we hold to the biblical truths reflected in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Along with those beliefs that unite us with Southern Baptist Churches across the world, we also believe that the purpose of the local church is to make disciples by the Gospel for the glory of God. We seek to accomplish this goal by doing 5 things.

Delight in God – Isaiah 61:10-11, along with a host of other passages of Scripture, make it clear that we are to glorify God by delighting in Him. It is our aim to delight in God each time we gather together and as we go out into our community.

Declare the Gospel – Romans 10:6-17 says that the way to reach a lost world is by declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to do this from the pulpit, in each classroom, and in our individual lives.

Display Good Works – In Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus tells His disciples to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We desire to show the love of God through displaying good works so that the world may glorify our God with us.

Disciple Others – The Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20 calls all believers to be disciple-makers. From the Sunday School class to the coffee shop, our goal is to help others follow Jesus.

Devote Ourselves – Acts 2:42-47 describes the church as a group of believers united around doctrine and united in life. This deep sense of community and belonging is what we try to have with one another.
